World of Fire
03:33
|
|||
There’s a world of fire
We dream of at night
Thick as a fog, but sharp as a knife
Its heat is burning holes
And its world is coming through
Cause Dreams aren’t just dreams
When its world becomes true
Deep lines and dust blown by the wind
Leaves hints of his past on his sun-hardened skin
Scars leave glimpses and clues
And you imagine the stories of the hell he’s been through
Let me warn you, if you’re trying to see
This water is not as clear as can be
Don't call him strong, thinking strength can be seen
Cause it’s found in a fire that burns underneath
That world we saw, someday we’ll live there
The dream will come true, God will answer that prayer
Cause right now, you can feel the heat
As that world of fire burns its way out of our dreams

Lone Wolf Run
05:03
|
|||
Through the forest and down the trail
Runs a lone wolf chasing down a cottontail
He’s not hunting for you, he’s not hunting for me
And he’s sure not hunting for family
He’s the fastest in the forest, he’s a pack of one
His brothers would follow but they slow his run
So when glitter or gold catches the lone wolf’s eyes
He’ll run alone up the mountainside
Lone wolf run under the silver moon
His coat of grey and black blurs as he makes his move
Free he lives, but alone he dies
Brother don’t be fooled by selfish pride
Only love can keep your soul alive
Oh Why O’ why do you run so long?
Are you blind to the beauty that you’re running from?
Cause if a brother made you bleed or stained you red
Go wash in the river and look again
Brother something you may have never seen
The lone wolf lived and died inside of me
Why do you run?
Can you see what you’re running from?
Why do you run?
Do you know it’s beautiful?
Do you see it’s beautiful?

Better Back Home
03:33
|
|||
Smell the ramen cooking in my dorm room microwave
Nothing like those mashed potatoes and gravy my mom makes
Don’t you know things are better back home
I wish everything was as simple as that meal
But family is not, and I know just how that pain can feel
Oh I wish, I wish things would be better back home
I’ve seen heaven and hell living under our same roof
Taking opposite corners of the ring in the living room
It’s a fight to the death between those two
But I know things will be better back home
Hear mom and dad fighting in the laundry room
It’s sad because nothing gets any better anytime soon
How do you know if things will be better back home
Dad packed up and left home for good today
When we came home from school there was only mom left to say
Kids I’m sorry things aren’t better back home
Heaven may look like he’s dead right now
Lying bloody and bruised, motionless on the ground
But watch him rise to stand and fight
He’ll swing hard and fast with all his might
Cause’ I still know what lies ahead
Cause heaven won’t quit until hell is dead

The Great Friend
04:26
|
|||
Well I was exiting off of the airplane
And I felt the sting of cold wind and show
This is nothing like the place I thought I was headed
This is nothing like the place on the postcards back home
So I wandered through the streets of this strange city
And I couldn’t believe it when I saw the face of an old friend
I don’t know how you found me here,
But it’s good to see you again
My friend said, “Let’s talk, tell me how you’ve been”
Well I’ve been throwing up stones for the wind to catch
But none have caught flight or caught wind yet
So I throw them up higher to bring this to an end
But the stones keep falling at my feet again
And it’s hard my friend
It’s hard to see the stones fall again
It’s hard my friend
But thank you for being here with me my friend
He told me that this is just a layover on my way home
And that this is not the end
He looked at me right in the eyes and reminded me
Who I am
Oh I got a great friend, the Great Friend
I’ve was throwing up stones for the wind to catch
But none had caught flight or caught wind yet
So I threw them up higher to bring it to an end
But the stones kept falling at my feet again
It was hard my friend
Hard to see the stones fall again
It was hard my friend
But thank you for being there with me my friend

Beauty's Flame
02:29
|
|||
Fire burning all across this land
You made me fall but then You made me stand anew
You’re making me new
Beauty is blowing on the coals that burn
I catch a glimpse and it makes me turn to You
You’re making me new
Fire come down
Fire come burn in me
Fire come down
I want the whole world to see
The flicker of the flame reminds me of how lovers dance
And how the strength of an army is the soldier’s romance back home
How he could fight for her alone
I’m drawn by a love I can’t explain
Like fire started burning when I heard my name above
Saying do you know you are loved
Fire come and make the change
You’re burning for a brand new way
Fear and death and sin and shame
Are burning up in beauty’s flame

Dancing Feet
03:57
|
|||
I’ve been counting the measures
And analyzing the melody
Girl have you been thinking like that too
Or just moving your feet
Brown hair and a sun dress
She’s dancing easy and free to her song
Sometimes I think it’s harder
For musicians to dance along
Girl I love your dancing feet
Would you come and dance with me?
My mouth is dry, and my knees are weak
But girl would you come and dance with me?
First step on the dance floor
I’m dancing like a musician
So now I’m learning to feel my body move
to the waves and the rhythm
Cause nobody knows where this song will lead
But girl we can follow the rhythm and melody
Move left and move right
Move left and move right
Move left and move right
Spin around and feel your body
Move left and move right
I’m not much of a writer
I’m learning that everyday
Instead I’m learning to listen
To the Spirit of the song that plays
Girl I love your dancing feet
And maybe someday you’ll be dancing with me
But that’s for someday to decide
So dance on and let the Spirit be your guide

Heart
04:20
|
|||
You made me a china doll that looks like you
But without some things I like about you
Like your slightly crooked smile I think is beautiful
You may look perfect in porcelain
But porcelain stone never could be skin
Do you know you’re so much prettier in skin than stone
I’ll ask of you something more
The deeper things let’s bargain for
What would it take for you to give Me your heart?
Soon your promotion came, yeah you’ve come so far
The CEO finally saw the type of man you are
Now the whole office calls you president
Everybody’s proud of what you’ve done
But remember I’ve loved you long before this had come
Even back when you were living in your mom’s basement
Cause you need to know that I love you for so much more than your accomplishments
Would you let me see who you are
Would you let me see who you are
Beyond the walls you’ve built and the masks you wear
Would you let me see who you are
I love you with my whole heart
And I will give you all I am

Good News
03:47
|
|||
You might not find Him on your lunch pail
Or fighting villains on the silver screen
But I know when superman puts his kids to bed
There’s a friend of mine who’s the hero in their dreams
He’s got more brawn than Captain America
More courage and strength than Wolverine
You might not believe in those superheroes
But I know one living among you and me
He’s the greatest superhero you could meet
I don’t know what you’re going through
You just look like you could use good news
I’m not saying just take my words
I know a good, good God who just might help just might help your hurt
Do you know the hallmark movie channel?
Those cheesy films that make your mother always cry
Well He’s the lead actor, director, and producer of that show
Cause’ He's got a bigger heart than anybody you can find
That's just how much He loves you and I

Down by the riverside catfish are gonna die
Armed with backwoods cigars, a fishing pole, and a friend by my side
See the mist on the water, hear the quietness in the air
It’s a beautiful place, and you can come with me there
Time keeps on draggin’ on
And I want to spend it with you
Let the good times drag on, drag on
Let the good times drag on
Do you know where the time has gone, I think we lost it long ago
People I love make it run away just to find its way home
Time keeps on marchin’ on
like soldiers footsteps, heavy and strong
Time keeps on draggin’ on
And I want to spend it with you
Some things don’t matter as much
As some people may say
Because I don’t want to live for tomorrow
If I’ll forget you today

Let's Run
03:13
|
|||
See the black ash move across the sky
It’s carried by the wind
Remains of our comrades firefight
It’s not safe in the trenches anymore
So remind yourself of what you’re fighting for and
Let’s run
Together to the sound of beating war drum
Let’s run
Together by the light of a blood red sun
Tonight destiny decides in the land between
Do you know the sounds of our footsteps will echo in eternity?
You might think that you’re brave and it might be so
But you might as well die if you go it alone
Let’s run
Together by the light of a blood red sun
Let’s run
Together to the sound of beating war drum
Do you know the world waits for us to come?
Let's run

Follow
03:06
|
|||
There are horses born to run wild and free
Who only plow for fields of green
But Can the wild live on in a heart held in?
Could a sailor lost in a desert land
Forget how the ocean pulls the sand?
For a mirage he may walk in vain
But the dream would drag him on
Yeah the dream would drag him on
I will follow You through the great unknown
Where You call my name
If the stars go out on the deepest night
I will follow You the same
I can hear my name from the mountaintop
Past the wind and jagged rock
How many men have died on cliffs like these?
But my Father met me in the valley low
Said, “Onward son you were born to go
Your feet, let them run to the rhythm of the drum
That beats a better song
Yeah if you Follow you’ll make it son”
The horse was born to run for fields of green
Sailor to sail for virgin lands no man has seen
I will follow You into the great unknown
Where the wild in me will live and find its home
